Alpha Farm: A dream come true. Our motto: Teach by example how to do what is right, fair and just and to think how to be forever young! |
 |
I, Frank Coots, was raised in Kentucky next to Calumet. There I grew to love farm animals and agriculture. I graduated from Lafayette High School in 1958. I served our country in the active Army Reserve for eight years. I worked as an apprentice in Graphic Arts. I joined I.B.M. and took enough |
courses to become a design engineer. In 1990 I retired as a senior engineer with I.B.M. Alpha Farm was incorporated and licensed in 1991. It was founded to provide a special place for both the family and kids in the area with fun physical activities.
Our goal was to promote our local Heritage, the Horse. It was a way for us here at Alpha Farm to give back a small part of us back to the community. Our motto is to teach by example how to do what is right, fair and just and to think how to be forever young.
Our aim is to have affordable alternatives for kids and their families. Instead of having their children being cooped up in big indoor facilities and houses, especially during the summer. Our summer camp usually cost less. We have open fields for games and horseback riding, a riding arena for learning the necessary horseback skills, a barn to teach barn care, a forest to teach outdoor science, a small stream to fish from and an arts and crafts building. But most of all we have horses and baby animals for kids to enjoy. A place where a kid can be a kid.
Join us with our wonderful Summer Camp, School Class Trips, Churches Field Trips, Birthday Parties, Riding Lessons, and Boarding your personal Horse. We also provide Horse sales for those wishing to grow their lifelong love for the Horse. |
Welcome to Alpha Farm.
